Are you suppose to wash a baby's face w/soap??

When I give my son his bath I have been just using a wet cloth for his face should I be washing it with soap?? I was just wondering. Thanks

  • I don't know how old he is, but my DD's pediatrican said it is too harsh for their baby skin. :-) Once they get older it is ok, but when they are young you're not supposed to use anything.

  • no water is just fine, i didn't use soap on my daughters face on a regular basis til after she turned 1, if there was something that needed soap (food, dirt whatever) i'd use it otherwise just warm water
