will someone please help me! *a little TMI but it concerns my 2 year old*

my 2 (almost 3 year old) ate a couple bite size reeses cups the other day but he didnt take off the paper off of it (not the wrapper but part on the reese cup. he still hasnt passed the paper-should i be concerned and can anything bad happen?? thanks so much for any help i get.

  • Its paper, just consider it a little extra fiber for the day. :-) Seriously, though, it will just come out as poop, it isnt like a coin or something, paper will be digested, and come out as waste, it won't come out whole.

  • Are you sure that he has not passed them? Because of the way food is digested, they could actually be tiny balls of paper that would easily pass in his stool without being detected. I wouldn't worry about it too much since his mouth isn't that big at this age, and the pieces he bit off weren't huge. He doesn't seem constipated or have abdominal pains, does he?

  • It is nothing to worry about!!! Kids will eat things they aren't supposed to, including paper!!!
