What cleaner should I use for a stained tub.

We have such TERRIBLE rusty water that it has RUINED my tub! Our water is sometimes SO DISGUSTING I would rather not bathe a week than bathe in it! But anway, What can i use? I have even used PURE BLEACH! I can NOT get these stains off the walls and the tub! any ideas?

  • Try a paste made with salt, baking soda and vinegar. Let it sit for a bit, then scrub with a brush. It is also possible that the finish is gone.

  • try ammonia it cleans great but do not mix with bleach!

  • Use a Magic Eraser, with CLR, or Kaboom, or Mean Green. They are all very good at removing stains.

  • we make soft scrub by mixing baking soda with dish soap - about half and half. gets the stains off the formica counters really well, and I prefer cleaning the tub with it before I throw the little one in at tubby time. I didn't like the residue left over with commercial cleaners.

  • We have the same problem, NOTHING worked for use except Kaboom spray cleaner.
