bbq sauce recipe

hi ladies, i'm looking for a bbq sauce recipe my sister's MIL used, she said it required apple cider vinegar and ketchup, however i've asked if it needed brown sugar and she said no. so i can't find it anywhere (she has lost the recipe) and i've got a pork butt in the crock pot for dinner tomorrow night. i'd love to find a recipe that calls for the apple cider vinegar and ketchup plus some basic spices, i have bbq sauce from the store but would rather make homemade, if anyone has one i'd appreciate it! thanks!! (i posted in some recipe groups as well)

  • i use a recipe very similar to the one up top, but I use pork drippings instead of the chicken broth, brown sugar instead of maple syrup and add black pepper. this type of sauce is similar to what most North Carlonians use on pork BBQ.
