why does it appear? does it serve any purpose? will it go away post-partum?

  • it's caused by hormones, it goes away afterwards

  • Just like we are born with eggs in our wombs we are born with the pregnancy line if you notice little girls have it already I think it is so neat. Especially if you a mexicana you can see it really good (slightly darker skin) and of course as we are pregnant it gets darker.

  • My dd has it was born with it she is 8 and still has it, so not really sure. ( She is part mexicana )

    I got it when I was like 7 months preg I am 6 month postpartum and still have it, but it goes away

  • It's not known what the line is for, only that it darkens with increase in hormones and males and non pregnant women can also get one.

  • i was told that its your muscles seperating or thining, but it should go away afterthe baby.

  • I got a line with my first pregnancy and it took months to go away completely. I never did get a line the second time around.
