  • Nothing will work unless you are litterly teetering on the brink of going into labor anyway. But if you want to amuse yourself with eating spicy food and pineapple, have at it. Walking is good exercise regardless. And you can always have some fun sex. But don't expect anything.

    Labor starts when it starts.

  • Agree that all the methods mentioned in the first reply are pretty harmless.

Before trying any other DIY induction methods, discuss them with your provider. All of them carry some level of risk to you and/or the baby, and you want to make sure your provider is familiar and comfortable with those risks and ready to deal with such complications as may arise from them.

  • yeah i heard alot of people say if u have sex with ur SO and let him sum inside u the sperm somehow helps labor i dont know how true it is but ive heard that..also i heard of getting ur membranes strip (which i REFUSE to do) its when the doctor will stick their finger into ur cervix and serperate the aminotic sac from the uterus and then send u home to wait for labor to start if it doesnt i think they repeat this process again ..a lot of women do it.. its painful to some and to others its just really uncomfortable i only refuse to do it because i hate vaginal exams period and its opitional to have this done so thats y lol but some women swear it works others dont think it does...u should also google some ways of getting labor started..
