How do you make a warm compress?

I need ideas on how to make a warm compress. I think I have a clogged milk duct. Have been massaging and letting warm water run on it in the shower, but it's still sore. I was thinking wet washcloth in the micro, then put it in a ziplock and wrap with a thin towel. Any suggestions?

  • like pp said. Just use hot/warm water on the washcolth. You'll just have to run it under the water again if it gets cold. Do you have any ice packs those soft ice packs? They can be put in the microwave (they are usually made out of rice or soemthing that retains the heat/cold.). Also, gerber makes a nice one that you can freeze or heat. It's got a hole in the middle so it doesn't bother our nipple.
