tightnings....

ok so i went 2 c my midwife last week n she was checkin my babyand she sed i was havin tightnings but i cud not feel it then i went 2 the hospital not last nite the nite b4 cuz i never felt my baby move at all they put me on a heart machine and the nurse sed i was having tightnings every ten min then i ad 3 in ten minutes as well but i cud not feel them has anyone else not felttheve ad them but told they are im 40w n 10days wiv my first child do they mean anythink or not?? ..

  • Usually painless/unnoticed contractions are braxton hicks. They are practice contractions.
    With my expereince, they eventually do become noticable & intense~ into labor contractions.

  • I had a hard time reading what you wrote, to be honest, but I think what you're asking is if anyone has had unnoticeable contractions?

    If so, the answer is yes. Those are generally braxton hicks contractions and are just getting your body ready to deliver. I had lots of those with my first two babies, but ever since then my contractions have been quite noticeable.

    I wouldn't be concerned.
