  • found this in the Urban Dictionary
(see also hunt, prowl, corner, pounce). Noun. A 35+ year old female who is on the "hunt" for a much younger, energetic, willing-to-do-anything male.

An attractive woman in her 30's or 40's who is on the hunt once again. She may be found in the usual hunting grounds: nightclubs, bars, beaches, etc. She will not play the usual B.S. games that women in their early twenties participate in. End state, she will be going for the kill, just like you.

  • I've been called a cougar simply b/c my dh is 7 years younger (we met when he was 28). I did not persue him...he pursed me. I met him at a town function, not a nightclub. I actually dated men my own age, little did i know that i would find the most mature, loving, "settled", and responsible man who was in his twenties.

I think it's envy. Some men are attracted to confident women who have their "S**t together"!

  • I guess it's like the guys being called rotten bananas when they go after the young, lol.

  • B/c men are jerks and anytime women do something for themselves only, they get all chavaunistic and call names?
