a good place to donate toys? how about a church that has sunday play groups?

i have a 50 gallon tote of toddler toys that i tried sellin online with no husband said just take them down to the good will but i was wanting a much more needed place and my first thought was a local church... what you guys think? can you think of another place that would be a good choice?

  • Ditto to what mamak57 said - she took the words right out of my mouth. :)
Call your local police department, non-emergency number, and ask them about how to give any donations to battered women's shelters because most are secretive and only police or human services know where they are.
You can split up the toys between your favorite places if it is hard to choose just one. :)

  • As long as toys are in good condition, take them to a church and see if there is need there.

  • Churches,Daycare, preschool or even a parent who can't afford to get their kids toys, are great ideas.  But make sure that the toys doesn't have anything loose for a child to put in his/her mouth, sharp-like edges and other potential harm (especially if the toy went through alot).  And good luck.
