  • How do you prove a job has been saved?

  • No. I don't feel that one million jobs were created and it would be nearly impossible to prove 'saved' jobs. Plus, they have claimed to have 'saved' jobs which later were laid off or eliminated. Do those go down as the government's loss? (I think it was Caterpillar).

  • No, and there is no way to tell for sure. There is absolutely no way to tell if you saved a job and I don't believe for a minute that he created a million. They can't keep laying off forever. Still half a million people a week losing their jobs is nothing for Obama to be proud of.

  • With tourism to my state being distroyed, my husband is creating his own company providing a different service. I guess we could give Pres. Obama credit, although he didn't do anything except share the gloom and doom message to make people people save their money instead of going on vacation.

  • how on earth do you prove something like that? It's like asking "how long is a piece of string?"

  • I believe that employers are more confident that they won't be laying off, but I also think that jobs could have been created if he would have put more of the stimulus towards small business.

    EXCELLENT answer!

Employers have no confidence right now. There is a lot or serious stuff up in the air. We don't know if our taxes are going to go up a little or a lot, there are several bills with extra taxes. We don't know if we are about to slapped with additonal expenses and regulation from Cap & Trade. We are also holding back production and restocking what I refer to as my "COG supplies" because we know if the economy sinks further we may have losses. It is very scary to be a small business owner right now.

  • There is no statistical/scientific data to support this claim. They have even claimed jobs created on their 'tally sheet' for jobs that were created because of legislation passed during the Bush administration (Biden~North Carolina Fire House, I believe).. They are full of sheeeee-at.. And anyone who believes in their unofficial claim of jobs created and saved is a fool.

  • Nope. My husband had to lay off 400 workers recently. Since Obama has blasted companies for owning private jets they lost pretty much all orders. They are only providing maintenence at this point. Target did order two from the company but other than that they have nothing. So 400 well paid men and women lost jobs due to the war on the rich. They will probably close shop all together in a few months if something doesn't change. This company employs 3/4's of the town so our town will be a ghost town soon. Obama is not really someone our town would welcome now. They do blame him before he started his war on companies having private jets they had orders. The companies said they could not risk having the President mad at them so they canceled orders one by one until there were none.
