Do you believe Obamas scare tactics this time?

Everyone in this room knows what will happen if we do nothing. Our deficit will grow. More families will go bankrupt. More businesses will close. More Americans will lose their coverage when they are sick and need it the most. And more will die as a result.

This is going to happen not because of healthcare but because of Obamas policy of not helping the little guy, especially where job creation is considered.

  • He uses scare tacticts? I have heard MUCH worse from previous presidents..At least he doesn't have his advisors running around talking about a mushroom cloud.

  • All those things he listed would largely VANISH immediately if we

    DROP taxes,

repeal the gov't regulations which drive up insurance costs,

and undo the several gov't takeovers which have happened since Feb.2009.

  • Both sides, Republican's and Democrat's both agree with that statement. They don't agree on how to stop it. That isn't a scare tactic.

It is lawsuits driving healthcare up. We need tort reform not govt interfering.

AGAIN LOL...You believe everything the INSURANCE COMPANIES AND THE REPUBLICAN PARTY TELL YOU??? LOL Wrong again, Tort reform will do nothing to bring down your costs, you may however buy a new JET for a CEO

  • it's ALREADY happening due to the present healthcare system, 62 percent of all bankruptcies filed in 2007 were linked to medical expenses. Of those who filed for bankruptcy, nearly 80 percent had health insurance.

My husband would still be a doctor if there was tort reform. He was a family practioner for 10 years. He was sued by 4 parents because their kids were Autistic. They felt it was his fault and he had done something wrong during delivery. The judge was friends with one of the parents and the courts would not bring in another judge to our small town or move the case. The case was long and cost our insurer about 1.5 million to defend. We thankfully won and my husband was cleared of any wrong doing. Did not matter. My husband was no longer to practice medicine in the community and even if he did his malpractice insurance would have been 300k or more. We moved he works in another field. That town has no doctor at all. Tort reform may have protected my husband from losing his good name and lively hood. Dems have it wrong on this.
