Who should stay in what room?

Me and my sister are thinking about renting a 2 bedroom apartment together. She has a 6 year old, I have an almost 17 month old. Should the boys get one room and us the other or should we each share with our son? Who should get the bigger room?

  • You should each get a room with your sons. They would feel more comfortable plus, no 6 year old wants to share a room with a 17 month old sry lol and Im sorry but she should. She has an older child that needs more of "HIS" space.

  • if your 17mo is sleeping through the night, i would put the kids in one room. if he's not, then you should share with him so he doesn't wake the 6yo up (who has to go to school). if the kids are going to share, then i guess you and your sis can take the bigger room. would you sleep in separate beds, or share? i would get a pull out sofa or futon too just in case. also, you need to check to make sure you can have these arrangements. some states say children have to have their own room, even if they co-sleep- they just need to have a bedroom of their own.

  • Share with your sons.

    Bigger room...whoever has more stuff.

  • Mothers with their kiddos. The older kid needs more space, unless you have a spot elsewhere for more of his own type of feel.

  • In CA, it's against housing code for an adult to share a room with a child after the child reaches a certain age.

Since both children are boys, I'd put them in the same room and have the adults share the other. I'd put the kids in the bigger room unless you want them always playing all over the rest of the apartment.
