pointing with the middle finger...is that normal?

My 1 year old baby boy starts pointing but not with his index finger, he points with his right middle finger....is that pointing or we have to take only as a pointing the index finger? is that normal? is he pointing or nop? thank you......

  • If he is gesturing to objects or people it is pointing. Our social norms have us pointing with an index finger, but babies haven't learned that yet. I wouldn't worry.

  • i've known kids who did that up to 4 yrs old. As long as you dont make it a big deal he wont either. they dont mean anything by it but trying to point.
