  • Reading books (pop ups, flaps), coloring, flashcards (my DD loves these), playdoh, cooking (simple not so messy things), just taking your kid places like the library, playground, beach, stores, malls, etc. I do lots of things with my 20 mo we volunteer at a thrift store (yes she puts things on the shelves & loves it & plays with toys there), pet kitties at the shelter, take walks around town, pet animals at stores, coloring & sticking stickers to paper she loves this, finger painting (crayloa has non toxic easy to clean paint), legos/blocks, imagineative playing (barbies, little ppl, anything). Basically as long as you stimulate them everything is a learning experience! My DD knows all her colors, some numbers, hundreds of words, left & right, up & down, etc. Remember to give your LO down time a few times a day to help their brains organize & keep meltdowns to a minimum!

  • simple puzzles, playing outside in sand or water, books, DS loves those cards with pictures on them. he likes to stack them, line them up, etc. something i have wanted to do but haven't yet, is some kind of cooking that we can do together, like cookies. idk. this is such a fun age and almost everything is learning for them!
