So then.. if you find an empty lighter in the washer, does it mean you will blow up your house if you put the clothes in the dryer?

It is a natural gas dryer FYI.

  • No it won't. I've found lighters in my dryer. The only thing that happens is the lighter will not work anymore.

  • NO! I HAVE DONE THIS PLENTY OF TIMES.......AND THE LIGHTER WILL WORK AGAIN IF ITS A GOOD ONE LIKE A BIC BUT IF ITS A LIL CHEAP ONE IT WONT WORK!

  • Op: no I found a lighter in the washer, and it has been a few years since I found one in there, so I forgot if you are suppose to Re-wash the clothes, or if I could just carry on like nothing happened.

  • Nope, I've accidently put a few through the dryer myself. However a feather pillow will make a large mess when you open the dryer door if you dry it too long.
