Why are healty foods so expensive?

I mean, if you do less to it, shouldn't it cost less? Why is it that all the stuff that spends days in a factory costs less than they stuff they can just pick?

  • Supply and junk is in demand so it is cheaper and easier to get ahold of. If more people were to eat healthier, the cost would go down as well.

  • Healthy food can be cheaper, but I agree that it's tricky.

I buy a lot of basic ingredients in bulk, and grow some of my own veggies. It helps that I have neighbors that are so willing to share when their garden is exploding.

Then you have to learn how to freeze or store what you grew for the winter.

Like I said, tricky, but doable.
