What is black when you buy it, red when you use it, and gray when you throw it away?

  • My dad once told me that the difference between coal and charcoal is the color, charcoal is still black when you throw it away but coal is grey and coal burns red charcoal does not, but they are both black when bought. So , I still say that the answer is coal.

  • oh i would have never thought about charcoal or coal lol. i was sitting here for like 5 minutes trying to think.. and then i scrolled down and i was like "oh im so slow sometimes!!"

  • I was thinking play on words "read" and then thought well fire turns things red when it burns. I don't know about you, but the charcol we use does turn red as it burns. :)
