Sono or ultrasound?

Do they see anything during the first two weeks of pregnancy at all?

  • no's too small to see anything. Sometimes its even too soon at 5 weeks depending on your doctors equipment. They didnt give me an U/S till i was 10 weeks because my doctors equipment was old.

  • Technically speaking, the first two weeks of pregnancy are the two weeks before ovulation, before conception has even occurred. And then for a week after that, the egg has been fertilized but hasn't implanted yet. And the week after that, it's barely implanted and is just starting to multiply itself on a cellular level. So no. There's a reason they don't generally do ultrasounds before 6 or 7 weeks.

  • I had one around 6 weeks for concerns of what might be going on. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten that one.
