  • Are you a SAHM? You could homeschool preschool.

  • Teacher here!

You are right in thinking that preschool offers some advatages! BUT BUT BUT! If you are a diligent mother who is active in teaching your child.....and socializing your child, then he should be fine.

What I am saying is, you can simulate the benefits of preschool yourself by involving him in groups at the library, or park....maybe a local church group....or moms and toddlers group. Find as many as you can and introduce him to new things. Let him explore away from you and show him he is capable of doing things himself.

Preschool is great, but parents who care and are willing to invest in their child's development are EVEN BETTER!!!!

  • Check with your public school district, a lot of them offer 4 yr old Kindergarten or Early Childhood programs and they are free.

Otherwise, get preschool workbooks at Walmart and do them with your child. Read to him for atleast 20 minutes a day. You can also print preschool worksheets and activities online. Just google preschool activites. There are alot of activities online.

  • my kids were and are in free pre-k. it didnt take much to qualify either. if none of the elementry schools there have it. just do it at home, they teach pretty much the same stuff in kindergarten as in preschool, my daughter knows everything they are teaching her in kindergarten because of preschool, but if you can just teach him his letters, numbers, shapes, colors writing his name he should be fine alot of people dont put their kids in preschool.
