When does the heartburn go away?

I've had horrible acid reflux and heartburn ever since I've been about 6 months pregnant...currently I'm 37 weeks. I'm wondering...when after you have a baby does the heartburn ease up?

  • Mine went away pretty much as soon as I had my son. I'm only 16 weeks now and it's starting to get bad...I hate it!! I sleep with TUMS next to my bed, and keep them in my purse at all times!

  • I know...I didn't either. Now, I swear, it doesn't matter WHAT I eat, I get heartburn...or rather, more often, acid reflux. I don't think it even has anything to do with what I'm eating. I actually read recently that the only old wives tale that has any credit to it is the one about heartburn and hair. I just recently had an ultrasound and my baby already has a full head of hair, lol.
