heat rash question

My 5 wk old often will only fall asleep in my arms during the day and doesn't like it when I put her down unless she has been asleep awhile. Well our combined body heat (mostly hers) has caused her to start getting heat rash on her checks. Is there anything I can do to help it go away?

  • There's nothing you can do except try to keep her as cool as possible otherwise. When my son was just born, it was the middle of the summer and our place had no AC. His heat rash was horrible! All I could do was let him go without clothes as much as possible, and cool him off with a damp rag periodically.
