Start charting, especially basal body temp and cervical mucus. www.fertilityfriend.com is a great website, and Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler is a great book, both devoted to planning pregnancy. You'll be able to know exactly when you ovulate, when you're fertile, when to expect your period, when you can test, etc. without much (if any) guesswork. And the website will even help you interpret your chart. It's all a matter of timing, and charting tells you when is the best time.
