Can you develope a sensitivity to latex

My son is 3.5 and he was around gloves with latex this morning and ever since that he has had a rash. The rash is only on his left arm. I gave him benadryl because he was itchy and he has been fine ever since that. The only thing i can think of was the gloves he used to play with. Can you develop a sensitivity to latex?

  • Absolutely! Once the body has been exposed to a given substance, it has the potential to over-react to it at anytime & develop an allergy.
