  • I know what you are talking about. I gained about 100 lbs with my pregnancies. And here i am almost 3 years later and i still have about 80 of the 100 lbs to lose. When you find out how to lose weight, let me know! lol. I have been eating right, drinking plenty of water, cut back on soda, exercising. Yet nothing seems to be working. I won't do the surgery. It scares me. I wish you the best of luck! *hugs*

  • You can do this. Sounds like you've hit a plateau. Time to switch up your exercise. Your body can get accustomed to the exercise you're doing and that doesn't help. Take 48 hours off - then hit it again with a new diet (not a different one - just new) if you've been counting calories, switch to a heart healthy diet for a week and instead of your normal walk - climb stairs. The reason switching up helps is because your body don't have time to get used to a routine. Routine help to cause plateaus.

  • why don't you see your doctor... I don't know how you feel about Surgery, but I know there are some pills that help... Trust the pills suck though ugh.... also try getting a trainer @ the gym, I don't want to upset you but the kinda results your lookin to get isn't going to come by walkin 1 hour a day.

  • Have you seen a doctor? Maybe you have an underlying medical condition like a thyroid problem. Just a thought...it seems like you are doing the right things. Until you figure it out, keep your chin up. Your husband isn't just attracted to your body...he's attracted to your mind and your confidence. Be pround of who you are!

  • I am not sure how you are defining "eat healthy". Here is how I define it:

Make sure that you are drinking enough water, at least 8 8oz glasses a day.
Eat an apple or big pile of veggies before meals.
Eat 7-8 servings of fruits and vegetables a day, in at least 3 different colors.
Eat 6-7 servings of whole grains a day.
Eat at least two servings of legumes a day.
Cut way back on meat and dairy.

  • Actually, not eating enough can slow down your metabolism. Your body needs nutrients from food. If you don't eat enough of the right things, you will not lose the weight. Go to http://www.mypyramid.gov/, enter your stats and see what you need to eat on a daily basis. Most importantly, you need to work on self-acceptance and being kinder to YOU. Until you overcome the negative thinking you won't lose the weight permanently.
