Confused, pregnant? JUST gave birth in June!

So I had my son June 18th got my period about 8-8-09. When I had my 6 week check up/papsmere they said I may have cancerous cells and need to go back. So I went today and they said I cannot do it because my period is late and need to return in 2 weeks. Normally a 28 day cycle (before I got pregnant) but have only had one period since my son was born...so my period would be 4 days late with a negative pregnancy test. Should my period be normal now? I am not breast feeding, son did not take for the life of me to breast feed. Could the pregnancy test not show up? Is my body trying to adjust after having a baby? With my son, also my first child, I was actually 7 1/2 weeks pregnant before I even found out because I had cramps and thought my period was coming...right now I have no cramps. This is totally mind boggling to me! LOL

  • It can take some time for your hormones to catch back up AND your periods may not be on a 28 day cycle anymore. Your cervix changes with pregnancy along with your hormones.

  • Pregnancy test these days are very accurate, and especially if you had blood work done by your doctor. Your period probably is not back to normal yet. Good luck.

  • my cycles took a loooong time to get regular. but a test might not come up positive if it hasn't been very long since you conceived. good luck! :)
