5 month old will only sleep on his side

He can roll over from his back to his stomach but not the other way around. If i flip him to his back he instantly wakes up and cries. Is this ok?

  • If he's sleeping on his side, leave him that way. In a few weeks he'll be rolling in both directions and none of this is an issue anymore.

  • I always made sure my girls slept on side, I thought that if they were to spit up during nap/night they wouldn't chock on it while lying on ther back.

  • I let my kids sleep however they wanted since birth. Even the nurses in the hospital had ds on his tummy.

  • My daughter has always slept on he side since she was 2-3 months old, she will be one on the 26th, its fine as long as they can hold their head up.

  • Sleeping on his side won't really hurt him. Pretty soon he will be rolling around on his own anyway.
