wasn't able to pump for a couple days, I'm losing my milk?

I can't pump NEARLY as much as I used to be able to. If I pump every 2 hours will it bring my milk back??

  • Sometimes you will go down on the amount you can get with a pump....that doesn't mean that you are loosing the milk suppy, it just means that the pump isn't effective in getting it out...try hand espression or just nurse more often.

  • Breast milk is a supply and demand type of thing, and your body will keep making it if its on demand, ie pumping or nursing. In that theory, yes, pumping more often should bring your supply back up
