what do u think is the best way to burp a newborn baby??

  • set her upright on your knee, put your tumb and pointer finger on her face and if she is haveing trouble lean her back and the back up.

  • When DD had an IV in her arm, we burped her sitting up with out hand holding her chin/neck...the rest of the time it was over our shoulder...she didn't like being layed across the lap.
    BUT to answer your question, the best way is what gets them to burp.

  • i put my baby on my shoulder and bounce him a little by patting his butt, it works the best for him

  • my son is 2 months old n wat i still do is put him on my chest, lean back a little, and pat his back while gently bouncing him.

  • I'm with a couple of the previous posts I lay his (he's 7 weeks tomorrow) head on my shoulder and then pat his back he usually burps in less than a minute.
