  • mac n cheese: boil 1 lb macaroni al dente, cube 8 oz mild cheddar and 8 oz colby jack cheese while boiling. preheat over to 425 degrees. drain macaroni, in a casserole dish mix macaroni, colby cheese, half the cheddar (set other half aside), 1/2 cup milk, 1 tbspn butter, half a can of cream of celery soup, salt and pepper to taste (i love adding LOTS of pepper). top w/remaining cheese, bake for about 45 mins til cheese on top is golden brown...sooo yummy had it last night :)
fried chicken...mix bread crumbs w/seasonings, i like tony sauceres (its a green jar w/a pic of a chef on it, a cajun spice so has a bit of a kick to it), onion powder, garlic powder, and some red pepper. beat a few eggs (go with 2 or 3 to start and go from there according to how much chicken you are making), coat chicken w/egg dip into bread mixture til covered in it. fry in a deep fryer or just a skillet w/hot oil. not sure how long i do it, CONT

jambalaya (is that what you wanted?) http://www.recipezaar.com/Chicken-Shrimp-and-Andouille-Jambalaya-28165 this is the recipe i'll be trying out next week haven't made it yet. theres a gumbo one on this site i like as well.
www.recipeczar.com is the site, its awesome and i've found alot of recipes there (actually where i found the mac and cheese i just adjusted it to our tastes)

  • do you mean Jumbalaya with shrimp? or shrimp gumbo? not real sure what you are asking for here, fried chicken is pretty standard everywhere and mac and chz isn't really considered a southern recipe. so...i dunno, i have plenty of traditional southern recipes but not sure how far do you wann go. Turnip greens to pickled quail eggs, snappin turtle stew to alligator chili, let me know.
