  • Have you tried all the big box book stores? Everytime I'm in one they have EVERY type of bible you could imagine and many you never would have thought of. JB Dalton books will special order whatever you want as well

  • You can get them at any book store or order one over the Internet. Protestand and Catholic bibles have the same NT and the same Gospels. Catholic Bibles contain additional books in the OT so if you look for a bible that says "Catholic Edition" or check the table of contents for 1 and 2 Maccabees, Sirach, Wisdom, Baruch, Tobit, and Judith.

  • Are the Gospels different?

Answer by Kattykitten at 5:34 PM on Sep. 16, 2009

  • Kattykitten, Catholic Bibles include the deuterocanonical books in the OT and Protestant books do not. NT and Gospels, as Erin pointed out, are the same.

  • The New Catholic Answer Bible is still the right choice for those who want to:

    • Learn more about the Catholic faith

    • Increase their knowledge of Scripture and deepen their appreciation for it

    • Better respond when others ask them about the Catholic Church and its teachings

The New Catholic Answer Bible is a wonderful gift for a family member or friend who is in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) or has recently joined the Church.
