Burning calories and losing weight?

I've heard that to lose weight you have to burn more calories in a day than you take in. Here's my question....I take in around 150o calories a day, and I know I don't burn that during my workout. I'm lucky to burn 200 on the bike and thats staying on it at a resistance of 6 for 30 minutes. How is it possible to burn more than 1500 calories in a day? I have to take in at least that right?

  • get on and type in BMR(Basal Metabolic Rate) this tells you how many calories you need to eat to stay the same weight and then show you how to make a deduction on calories based on your activity level. Remember you burn calories even sitting on the couch or sleeping.
