Burning calories and losing weight?

I've heard that to lose weight you have to burn more calories in a day than you take in. Here's my question....I take in around 150o calories a day, and I know I don't burn that during my workout. I'm lucky to burn 200 on the bike and thats staying on it at a resistance of 6 for 30 minutes. How is it possible to burn more than 1500 calories in a day? I have to take in at least that right?

  • get on ask.com and type in BMR(Basal Metabolic Rate) this tells you how many calories you need to eat to stay the same weight and then show you how to make a deduction on calories based on your activity level. Remember you burn calories even sitting on the couch or sleeping.
