  • NO, some things just shouldn't be redone, they were perfect the first time.
Grease, Dirty Dancing, Fame, etc. Some things should be left alone.

  • Honestly, no.
You cant redo stuff like this and have it be as good or better than the original. There are just some things you shouldnt touch...this is one of them.

  • I think it will be just fine. It's not the same characters re-done. Personally I think that every movie that takes place in a school of the arts has been a Fame type remake, this one just has the name Fame attached to it. You can use the same name, different characters and be just fine.

  • no, but for this upcoming generation they may like it. as for older generations especially mine I'm a late 70's kid who grew up watching both the movie and the show it won't come close but it may bring back good memories and that's always a good thing.

  • I think for this current generation it will be good and encouraging for any kid to follow their dream. Kids today don't want to sit and watch the classics from "way back when" when the styles, music, and dance moves are all out of date. They want something that relates to them now.
I'm looking forward to watching it and I'll be keeping my mind open about it because as the arts and music evolve through time, so do certain movies portraying them.

  • As long as you don't have high expectations of it being like the original then I think it'll be fine. I'm going to see it just to see what it's like. But I'm not going to try to attach it to what I watched as a kid. I'd be disappointed in the movie if I did that, I think.

I totally agree here. The copy is never as good as the original.
