10 month old 1 nap a day?Normal?

My son is 10 months old and is down to one nap a day. From 2-4pm. Then he sleeps from 10:30pm-9am. What are your little ones nap patterns is this normal?

  • My son is 11 months old and down to one nap a day. He takes one from 1-3 and sleeps from 10-8:30-9:00 in the morning. He has been down to one nap since he was about 9months old. He only did two naps for a few months there. It's normal for children to have only one nap a day at that age, and sometimes they'll switch it up and throw in an extra just for kicks. It all depends on the child and their wants/needs.

  • My daughter usually has one nap a day. At night she sleep from 8pm-6am and then takes a nap around 11 or 12 and is usually down for 2 1/2 - 3hours.

  • normal, maybe not but not uncommon, my son stopped taking 2 naps at 13 months and only 1 - 1-1/2 hour nap in the day

  • i think ur very lucky. my son won't even nap that much. he's almost 9 months and only sleeps when he feels like it and wont take more than one nap a day, wont sleep for more than 1/2 an hour in his crib cuz he wants me to hold him but i won't hold him constantly. then he wakes up 3 times a night or more just to be rocked back to sleep. count your blessings and i'd say if he doesn't seem overly cranky and tired, let him make his own nap schedule cuz only he knows how much he needs to sleep
