Is your pregnancy turning out to be difficult or fairly easy? and how far along at this point?

I have heard of some hhoorrrible stories that make me feel lucky as hell...
i hear of swelling stories, horrible heart burn, morning sickness not going away till the 6th month, bellys being carried so high ya cant breath till they drop.. these poor woman!
i dont know what they're going through with those though..
im 37 weeks baby always carried low
only gained 12 pounds at my most
babys heart beat movement and growth extremely healthy
no heartburn
no swelling
morning sickness only for the first 3 in a half months
no depression or anything like that
and i still fit in a size five pair of pants..

not only that im already on my way fairly early.. 2 cm dilated when i was 36 wks i dunno how many now but i even got sort of a head start!

i hear some horror stories though just wondering what everyone else s pregnancy is like so far and how far along are ya???

  • My pregnancy has been terrible. I am 26 weeks and have almost lost the baby twice already.... I am on full bed reest, only aloud 2 get up to use the potty....I have a semi abrupt placenta, hypertension, and my blood ab- is fighting the baby (tring to kill it) so i am not having a very good one

  • i'm 36 weeks gained 13 lbs so far.
besides the pain of him trying to come early i would say that it's been pretty easy no major problems...knock on wood.

  • Mmm... easier in some aspects and horrible in others - compared to my first pregnancy, right at this moment.
First pregnancy, I had BAD morning sickness - this time around, I don't at all.
I had heartburn and headaches my first pregnancy, but with this one, I'm actually prescribed Prilosec and migraine medication.
First pregnancy, I couldn't take any prenatals at all, and ended up doing Flintstones. This one, I'm able to take the one that my OB prescribed to me.

However, during my second trimester and very early 3rd was when everything slid downhill for me and my first pregnancy. I had gestational diabetes, high blood pressure and preterm labor. I was care flighted, put on hospital bed rest... poked, blood drawn, etc, etc.
So.. I guess we'll see with this pregnancy if it'll be similar. I'm only 10 weeks along. :]

  • Oh, and I gained a total of 14 pounds my first pregnancy. I was still in my size 5 jeans right up until I was put in a hospital gown full time at 22 weeks all the way up until birth day at 27 weeks. I definitely would've ended up in maternity jeans around 26 when it seemed like I ballooned out overnight.

I'm back in size 5's and still in them.

  • Well I'm only 11 weeks but so far I've been miserable. was so nauseas I couldn't keep any food down and ended up losing ten pounds. They told me if I didn't stop losing weight they would put me on bed rest. so far by dint of constant eating I've menaged to keep my weight steady even if I am still sick. I'm constantly having headaches I've lost almost all of my freaking eye sight. It hurts to read anything. there's more but it's pretty depressing to think about.

  • I've had an uneventful pregnancy.

Mild swelling in the heat, some acne flareups, sore finger joings, and recently just a mild rise in blood pressure and charlie horses in my left leg. But that's it.
