are your breast suppose to hurt after weening?

  • yes they will hurt til all of your milk dries up. try putting cabbage leaves in your bra.

  • its normal, youre still producing milk but youre not expressing it so your breasts will still be engorged. It calms down after a while.

  • i feel ya (well sort of haha). i couldnt even hug my DH it hurt soooo bad.....i felt like i had over-inflated basketballs in my bra lol....luckily it goes away.....just remember if you try to express milk to relieve pain, then you produce more milk

  • yes. when you wean, you're not giving your breast time to adjust. so they become engorged and hurt, just like at the beginning when your breast were trying to adjust to your baby's supply.
