husband army...now ladies???

my husband was going into the airforce, long story make short. stupid AF recruiter very dumb.. didnt give a shit. his scores took over 2 wks to come thru bc he decided not to show up at the teseting site. anyways. he is going into the ARMY now. it seem sto be happening soon. so ANY advice ladies????remember... ill be new at this .. :P thanks ladies!

  • Make friends with other military wives. Find support groups and talk to others like you. It will help you get through the times he is deployed.

  • Don't be afraid to ask the recruiter questions BEFORE he's in.
    Find out as much as you can. If you're going to be doing on post housing - make sure he can get enrolled during basic so it's a smooth transition. As soon as you know where his first duty station will be, find out some information. Apartment, activities, join a group here on Cafemom near that station so you'll have some resources and tips.
    See if you want to do a military bank account as opposed to sticking with the one you have.
    Make friends~! Lots of them.
    Get a map of the base -once you know where it is you'll be.
