When should I test?

My cycles are irregular, but I can always tell when I am ovulating. How long after ovulation should I be testing? 10 days? 14 days?

  • i knew when i ovulated as well. i tested at only 11 days past ovulation this time with a first response early result test and got a faint positive! i am now 5 months pregnant so it was right. but i feel like i've been pregnant forever cuz i knew RIGHT away haha! Go to they tell you the most sensitive tests and have pictures of positive tests at 10, 11, 12, 13, 14..etc days past ovulation.

  • I used a dollar store brand HPT at 7days late and it came back negative. Then a week later i tested again and got a positive. I am now 8weeks pregnant.

  • With an early detection test, at least 9 days. With a regular test, at least 14 days. Optimum results at 24 days, after you've already missed your period for sure. Why waste the money?
