i saw that in another post someone answered a ?w/a bible verse.

Psalm 37:9-12 (New King James Version)

9 For evildoers shall be cut off;
But those who wait on the LORD,
They shall inherit the earth.
10 For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more;
Indeed, you will look carefully for his place,
But it shall be no more.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth,
And shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

Now does this mean that after the judgement day that we will live on earth?

  • It is said that the believers will outlive the evil doers but i don't think it means that they will inhabit the earth since everything on the earth will perish. if you notice it says, they shall inherit the earth for yet a little while, meaning there is a time limit. when? only God knows. but some sects think that earth is paradise.

    This is true, but God has promised us a "new heavens and a new earth". (Isaiah 66:22; 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1)

  • Yes the earth will be a new earth but Heaven will come down to earth and earth will come up to Heaven. It will be joined together. It cant now because of the sin on the earth but when all evil is put away Heaven and Earth will join together.

    It's not in there. The Bible DOES say:

    "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain." (Is. 66:22)

    cont.

  • "Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. 2 Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. 4 And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Rev. 21:1-4, NKJV)
