  • Gosh no! lol, my daughter is 10 months and barely says those. She says Dada alot but rarely directed towards my hubby.

  • o no.....mine said mamma like one time at that age, and didnt say it again till a couple weeks ago (he's 9 months lol). so clear words arent really important yet, but its good if your LO coos and babbles, and reacts to speech, more than forming words.

  • Heck no. It would be amazing if baby DID do all those things.

  • Babies do what they want, when they want. Not one baby conforms to the doctors ideas of what is normal. In a couple of months, when she is 7 or 8 months old, then I might be worried, but for now, just go with the flow. My 6 month old does not say bye- bye, but she does have many of her consonants down. Just take your time and relax. Your baby will talk when she is ready. More than likely she likes to hear your voice and watch you talk.

  • no! I have 3 boys and each one was/is so different ,one say it at 6 months the other at 8 months, and i remember one of them was, cooing and trying to say some stuff at about 4/5 months and finally at 81/2 mths ,he  said daddy!, the same thing when they first learned to crawl, my 2nd son at six moths would slide down the stairs a  crawl  up them like nothing! my 3rd he was a year old and still was afraid of coming down the stairs don't worry !They grow up way too fast! Enjoy these beautiful moments, and just take one day at a time :)

  • Nope, not worried a bit. My DS said his first word at 9 months, "Cat." Now he says a handfull of things, he is a year old now, but never anything consistently other than "uh-oh." Trust me, your child knows these words and who "Mommy" and "Daddy" are. When they say it and how often they speak is entirely up to them. After all, they've been quit effectively communicating without speaking all of these months, right?
