microwave steam clean bags for pump stuff...

have you ever put pacifiers and other little plastic toys (rings) in them to clean them? Do you think it's ok?

  • I dont think the microwave is a good place for ANY type of plastic as the microwaves degrade the plastics and leach bad chemicals that will get into your body

  • vbruno has been reading old articles.

    It's fine to do it, bad chemicals do NOT leach from the plastic.

    I find it easier to either dump them in boiling water (hmmm...still heats the plastic), dishwasher (oh, another way to heat the plastic) or just wash them in soapy water with your dishes (oooohhh.....more heat to the plastic!)

    THAT is why the microwave theory doesn't hold water. (one reason anyway)

  • It works fine, just be careful. Some pacis will melt. I found out the hardway. LOL
