So Im breast feedin my 8.5 month old and she is getting 2nd foods 2 times a day. Should I be giving her more?? She doesn't have any teethers yet so i would think chewing would be an issue.

  • She will mash stuff with her hard lttle gums until her chiclets come in. I just feed mine whenever I am eating.

  • As long as you are nursing before giving the solids, you can give her as much as she will take. Nursing first is improtant to make sure she gets all the milk that she needs because solids are not needed for nutrition and they should not take away from nursing.

    At that age, my baby was getting food maybe once a week to once a day.
