Davis ... a two part question

1) have you ever heard this as a first name?

2) Do you think it's cheesy or cute?

unisex at this point, BTW. We're almost ready for ttc

  • 1. I've heard it as a first name, but not very often.

    2. I like it for a boy or a girl, but only as long as the last name flows with it.

  • 1) I have heard this for a first name for a boy.
    2) It's cute for a boy, I wouldn't use it for a girl but that is JMO

  • Yes, I have heard the name Davis as a first name. I don't have an opinion. He is a nice guy and the name seems to fit him.

  • I don't think it's bad but depending on the last name could end up confusing...honestly the only time I've heard it was on a tv show and it was a guy...

  • To me it is more of a boy name.
    I would be a bit careful in using Davis as a first name if your last name can double as a first name-- zb- Davis Tracey. People might mix the names and call your child Tracey Davis.
    If the name would be something like Davis Summerville -- where the last name is obvious then I think Davis would be nice for a first name.

  • I agree with long as the last name isnt something that could be confusing. First names, last names..can get all jumbled up!! LOL..I do like Davis as a fist name tho!
