  • In the LDS church we believe that Heavenly Father, Christ, and the Holy Ghost are 3 separate beings. We believe Christ is really the son of God, not God. Also we believe in continued revelation. We have a prophet today who received revelations for the church. We do not have paid clergy. We believe that there are 3 levels (we call them kingdoms) in heaven. And we believe that the only ones who go to Hell are the sons of perdition. We also believe in the Book of Mormon which is Another testament of Jesus Christ. We believe Christ visited the Americas, and that the Book of Mormon is a story of prophets in the Americas. http://fairlds.org/ is a great resource for learning about the church. They have articles concerning pretty much any topic, or anything people say against our church.

  • Christian is an umbrella term for those professing belief in Jesus Christ and that he died for your sins. LDS is a specific denomination of Christian.

  • LDS is only considered Christian by it's own people, and only by other people who don't know any better. LDS is another gospel given by an angel. The Holy Bible warns against believing in another gospel. It might be hard for some to accept but that is one of the many reasons they are not considered a Christian religion. You can call me mean and rude all you want, but I'm just telling the truth.
And, Mormons believe Adam came back alive and impregnated Mary. That is not in the bible, that is not a Christian belief. It is a belief of the false Christian religion called Mormonism.

  • For some reasons this weird rumor that we believe Adam impregnated Mary is being spread on this site, LDS people do not believe that. And here is an article that tells why the above persons argument that The Bible wards against believing another gospel is false as well: http://www.fairlds.org/Reviews/Rvw01011.html

Of course you are going to say what I posted is false. You want to beleve your religion even if you have to disregard what the Holy Bible says. Joseph Smith says the angel Moroni gave him the other gospel. The bible clearly warns about believing in other gospels. See Galatians 1:6-9. And, the Mormons do teach that Adam impregnated Mary. Oh, but maybe they changed that belief since I was taught that some years ago. I guess with the Mormons having their own prophets...they get to change things as they see fit. Don't you see how wrong that is.

No LDS is considered Christian because they believe in Jesus as the Christ. Other Christians may believe they have been misled in taking on the other teachings but that does not make them not Christians.

Nysa00, Mormons don't teach the same Jesus Christ as bible believing Christians believe. Mormons teach a different Jesus from their different gospel. It's not the same Jesus. Demons can try to make it seem the same, but it's not the same.
