When to your start giving toddler fluoride toothpaste?

My son will be 2 in Dec and he loves getting his teeth brush but I was wonder should I start giving him pea size amount of toothpaste with fluoride it or should I wait

  • You should already be using fluoride toothpaste at this point. My pediatric dentist says to start using fluoride toothpaste at the very first tooth. He said fluoride is that important. He said it won't cause any damage even if they ate half the tube. He said too much will give them a tummy ache, but it would take more than an entire tube to be toxic.

    I have used fluoride toothpaste with my son since he was 9 months old.

  • No not yet but the last time we were at the his pedi he told us we could give him a small amount.
