Fussy baby that always wants up. What is something that really helps? A sling or a bouncy/vibrating seat?

My daughter cries when ever I put her down. I am going crazy! I have let her cry but she cries a lot of the time. I'm not sure what to do. I have a regular front pack but I have heard that the slings are much better. We have a swing for her but she doesn't always like that. So do you think a sling or a bouncy seat would work? What did you do for your fussy baby? I have a 2 1/2 year old and I really need time that I can spend with her with out worrying about my youngest crying. She doesn't want other people. She will only sit with them or in her swing or bassinett for 20 or so mins before crying and wanting me again. Its not that shes hungery either. I don't know what to do. Please help.

  • My son is now 2 but when he was smaller and got fussy it was so sad and fustrating when trying to get things done around the house but i would let him cry it out or put him in his jumper, bouncer, or swing where he could see me the whole time and that helped alot. That or putting him down for a nap before i did anything worked also. Hope this helps you =)

  • How old is your baby? If under a year, I would suggest a jumperoo. My daughter absolutely loved her jumperoo and it gave me 30 minutes or more of free time where I knew she was safe.

    It has almost 900 reviews.

  • Seems from your profile that baby is a newborn...I don't know that she's ready for a jumperoo yet.

I'd go with a sling, myself. But you're going to have to experiment and see what works.

Remember that infant time is sorta like dog time...a minute is seven times longer to them!

  • My son was never a huge fan of his swing (still isn't).

    He loved this:

Bright Starts Bouncing Buddies Bouncer - Kids II - Babies

This isn't the exact one we had but we put him in it even when he was really little.  It vibrates too.  Ours lights up across the toy bar and plays music though.  http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3537189

  • this Graco Baby Einstein Stationary Entertainer - Graco - Babies and this Fisher-Price Rainforest Jumperoo - Fisher-Price - Babies are my lifesavers now (we have both of these actual products pictured here and love them)

They're found here:  http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2508003 and http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2861775.  Your baby has to be able to hold his head up to be able to use them.

    Good luck!

  • The picture that Novemberlove has, is the exact one that I have. We bought it new at Burlington Coat Factory for $20! Granted I am still waiting on our sons arrival..

But with my DD she loved her bouncer and her swing. That always helped when she was fussy.

  • Do you have a carrier or sling? Your baby just wants to be close to you and is very normal.
