what is implantation bleeding?and how far along pregnant do you have to be before this happens?

    I had implantation bleeding and spotting with my first pregnancy. This second one around, I didn't have it. Side note...

  • Implantation bleeding generally occurs before a missed period. It's where the little one buries itself into your uterine lining - causing slight discomfort and bleeding. Usually, it's dark blood to very light pinkish blood.
    This is usually one of the signs where some women might suspect they might be pregnant, or they're not aware at all - they just assume their period is coming. :]

  • It usually occurs before most even know they are pregnant from everything Ive read and heard. When the embryo implants into the wall of the uterus so probably around 2 wks "along".

    Some women never have implantation bleeding, I actually dont know anyone(myself included)who did have it.
