Can I hold the auto insurance only for the particular period?

My hubby has a nice sports car that he doesn't want to drive
in snow and rain.

Yeah, he seems to love his car more than anything lol

So, he's thinking to get a very cheap truck that he can only drive in the winter time, and keep the sports car in the garage throughout the winter.

I was wondering if he could hold the auto insurance for his sports car for a while, not paying for the insurance.

He just doesn't want to get in a wreck with his treasure.

Any help??

Thanks :D

  • Cal the company who hold the insurance and explain this to them. I'm sure if it's not being driven in the winter and in a garage that you wont have to pay for those months

  • Don't be sure, you should keep at least comprehensive and drop the collision, but I don't suggest that. Insurance-pay it!

  • My SO is a Farmers ins. agent and what they do is drop the collision and write a special policy for cars that are going to be stored and not driven..and when he drives it he can get the other coverages put back on it.

  • You can call and put the insurance on suspense.
