what do you consider fat?

I am 180 lbs and a size 14. I went from a size 10 to this after I had my daughter. I am working on it but am just disgusted by myself. I always considered myself a little chubby even at size 10. Now I look in the mirror and just see big ol fat me. What do you consder fat or overweight?

  • I am 5'6" and 167lbs and feel just like you feel - its hard to deal with as I used to be a size 6 / 8 and felt fat at that... its all how YOU feel about yourself too

  • Umm well overweight I'd say 350 lbs since some people (men) can be up to 300 lbs but all muscle and no fat- so 350 would be the point at which I think anyone would be fat. I think that size and weight have a lot less to do with people viewing someone as being overwieght as attitude towards your own body.

  • I'm 5'. My largest size was 16. I'm now a 6 and keeping it for about 7 years now.....

I think it may have to do with body size--height and shape. I like being a 6, I got down to a 4 and did not feel good. (I looked "great" but felt ill!)

  • Statistic say the AVERAGE size of an American woman IS a size 14 so I say your normal woman. Do the best you can to walk more, eat less and you'll take the weight off.

  • Honey, I hate to say this but even when you lose weight you will probably see yourself as overweight. I went from 183 (size14) to 143 (size 4) and still saw myself as fat for quite some time after I had lost my weight. Sometimes it is all in our will really have to work on that when the time comes. Make sure you have a good support group as you go.

  • I am 5'2" and weigh 165lbs, I am overweight but not obese. It depends on your height and body type. Some people carry weight better than others.

  • Honestly, it's about body shape. I'm not sure my weight but I'm a size 18. Honestly, it depends on how you carry weight.
