  • in most states they would not allow it so yeah it's not good. Let the baby stay in your room or in the living room

  • In our state children of opposite sex are not allowed to share rooms after the oldest turns 5. Babys can stay in Moms room until they are 2. If all else fails you and the daughter need to share a room. I know it isn't a great solution but it is legal.

  • Check the laws for your state. I know in my state there are no regulations on age/sex for room sharing.

  • Since when does "the state" come checking bedrooms? If your children are comfortable with it, I don't think it's a problem, after all your 15 yr old girl is is old enough to be a bit of a parent figure to your toddler, and if she's mature enough to share a room with her young sibling you're already doing an awesome job!

  • that is crazy that there are laws saying that kids cannot share rooms. i do find it a bit strange that your teen is sharing a room with your toddler instead of you. and pretty funny that you said something about your teen moving into your room ? lol. but if your kids like the situation then i think it's good. it is ridiculous to suggest that there is anything inappropriate about a teen girl sharing a room with her little brother. i just cannot believe thats a law ! it grosses me out a bit actually. lol

  • i googled it and basically everything says that there are no state laws saying that opposite sex sibling cannot share rooms. there are some laws for different subsidized housing and foster homes, but not in general. if anyone has any links to the contrary i would be very interested!

what i meant was that the obvious thing would be for your toddler to share a room with you but like i said, whatever works for your family!
